A PAIR OF FRENCH BAYONETS BEING A MODEL 1874 CHASSEPOT AND A MODEL 1892/15 BERTHIER, 1) M1874 dated 1885, with 20 1/2 in. single edged steel blade, back with Steyr contract engraving, steel quillion and cross-guard with inspection marks and '88034' over, wooden grips and brass pommel, worn, no scabbard, 25 1/2 in. overall; 2) M1892/15 with 15 1/2 in. nickel-steel single-edged blade fullered on each side, ricasso with inspection marks, nickel-steel cross-guard and hilt, wooden grips, together with its nickel-steel scabbard numbered 04994 at the throat, with a black leather German Mauser frog, release button frozen, 22 in. overall
